Holtzman, David H. Privacy Lost: How Technology Is Endangering Your Privacy. San Francisco: Jossey-Bass, 2006. Print.
David Holtzman is a master technologist, internet pioneer, security analyst, and former military codebreaker. His book is about who is using the technology and how we are at risk for privacy invasion. He discusses how our privacy is being eroded in every aspect of our lives. He also categorizes privacy violations into "7 sins."
One example is the sin of intrusion. This book plays a role into my research because it gives specifics of privacy invasion and who is specifically using the technology that is being invaded. The book breaks down privacy in a way that everyone can understand by have the "7 sins." These sins can be incorporated into our research because it divides up the different ways that privacy issues affect people.

Lasén, Amparo, and Edgar Gómez-Cruz. "Digital Photography And Picture Sharing: Redefining The Public/Private Divide." Knowledge, Technology & Policy 22.3 (2009): 205-215. Academic Search Premier. Web. 31 Oct. 2012.
Digital photography has now become an issue when it comes to a person's privacy. It has become common for people to take videos or pictures of strangers and post them on websites such as Flickr or YouTube. This becomes an issue quickly.
It is stated in the article, "Uses of digital images play a role in the way people perform being a stranger and in the way they relate to strangers, online and offline." This is all important because it shows how people interact and go about their daily lives based around privacy and the issues of privacy.

Lipton, Jacqueline D. "Digital Multi-Media And The Limits Of Privacy Law." Case Western Reserve Journal Of International Law 42.3 (2010): 551-571. Academic Search Premier. Web. 31 Oct. 2012.
This source discusses how many people are unaware that their videos or audios have been recorded and are in the system. If they are aware, they may not be able to afford legal action if their privacy is illegally invaded. In this article, it discusses the actions that can be taken in order to fight against your privacy invasion.
This is important to my research because it states, "Individuals have little recourse when concerned about infringements of their privacy interests in audio, video, and multi-media files." Some do not realize that their privacy is being illegally infringed upon.

This is a video describing how Google is now connected to YouTube. By combining with Google, it decreases the privacy because Google now has access to all information. Google is combining all information to one place which affects people's privacy. Many people have issues with this idea of their privacy decreasing now.
This is an important source to my research because it talks about people's reactions to privacy on the internet and how they are not too fond of the Google takeover. The video describes how many people do not think it is right for Google to have all this access to everything on the web and it invades privacy.

"Privacy Settings." YouTube. YouTube, n.d. Web. 08 Nov. 2012. <http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube>.
This source is the privacy settings on YouTube. It states what to do if you ever feel your YouTube privacy is violated. YouTube is meant for videos to be shared on the web for the world to see, however, sometimes the owners may want their videos private. That is why YouTube has privacy settings. You can protect your password, or allow only a certain amount of users to view the video.
This source is important to my research because it is the actual privacy page on YouTube. This provides links such as "Privacy Complaint Process," "Private Videos," "Privacy Guidelines," and many more. Once these links are clicked, it takes you to further information about YouTube privacy.

Roche, Steve W. Internet and Technology Dangers. N.p.: Dragonwood, 2012. Print.
This books talks about different ways privacy can be invaded and how people need to become more aware of the issues. Children need to learn more about the dangers in order to stay safe on the internet. This book is geared around parents and children and how parents can help protect their children better on the internet.
This source is important because it focuses on a different aspect of privacy by narrowing in on children issues and getting parents involved. This relates to cyber bullying and social networks. By adding this aspect into the research, it can broaden the topic of privacy and branch out to various audiences.
